Benchwarmers *May Contain Spoilers*

[The Breakdown]

So today Jose, Josh and myself made the early morning trek to Randolph in order to catch another sneak screening. My 4th of the year so far and Jose's 3rd, we are on track to break some sort of record. Moving on, the theater was quite packed, they were also having a screening for Ice Age 2 at the same time.

So the movie starts off with Rob Schneider finding out two of his friends (John Heder and David Spade) have never played baseball before. He decides that they should meet up and play on the field, some punk kid team shows up and the decision is made that the full team would play the three adults for use of the field. Of course Heder and Spade cannot play, so Schneider takes the reins and strikes them all out and hits all sorts of home runs. So Jon Lovitz finds out about this from his son who has been picked on by the "punk team" and since he is a billionaire he sets up a tournament including the three adults and all the "punk teams". So there is the basic plot without giving away too much.

[The Verdict]

[The Freshness] Since the way we decide is "Good or Bad" I will have to say this movie is Bueno. See it at a matinee. There are amusing parts, but overall I thought it was kind of flat. An amusing story with a good message, just see it cheap.

[Jose] I have to say I enjoyed it more than Nick did. Maybe because it remided me of us. One guy is semi-normal, with a wife, and decent job (Nick), one works at a video storeand is afraid to talk to the girl he likes (me), and the other doesn't have a license yet, and delivers newspapers (John). Benchwarmers has some really funny stuff as well as some strange stuff, especially for a PG13 flick. but overall I give it a BUENO.
